The Gathering: Reconciliation, Justice, and Mercy

Join us for the start of the new year as we come together, as one body of Christ, to share our vision for community development. Guest speakers Dr. Carl Ellis and Dr. Albert Reyes will be joining us!

What We Do

Church Resources | Citywide Service

Our heart and soul is to help our community; to care for the fatherless and the family, give a hand up to the single parent, share life with the incarcerated, and show hospitality to the stranger in our community. This is the heart of Jesus in his people.

3Sometimes, churches have a lot of interest and energy to serve, but they don’t know where to start. In response to this, Crosstown pilots ministry programs and invites churches to join us, desiring for member churches to eventually take them over from us.

No more let sin and sorrows roam,
Nor thorns infest the ground,
He comes to make his blessings known,
Far as the curse is found…

Jesus has defeated both sin and death–hallelujah! He is now making all things new, both spiritual and physical. While he is away from earth, he has given this work over to The Church. Crosstown provides tools for churches to get to know themselves and their neighborhoods better, propelling each church into wisely designed, heartful service.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. – Hebrews 10:24-25

A healthy Church will be, among other things, a great servant to Her city. Therefore, Crosstown offers opportunities for individual pastoral counseling as well as group learning. We recently hosted The Gathering for Generous Justice, where over 100 people from 20+ churches came to engage with ministry leaders in Las Cruces and The Borderlands.

The mission is very simple.

Organize the 80-90 Christian and Catholic churches of Las Cruces into a force of love. We are a great under-utilized asset in this community. Together, we have the resources that could change many lives.
E-League, with enough volunteers, could reach all the children in our 32 elementary schools who want to read better.
Dress a Mid-Higher will clothe 200 middle school students and 400 Elementary students with your sponsorship and hands-on help in shopping.
Soles for Souls, with your help, will put shoes on 2000 kids in the spring. You buy the shoes and put them on the children’s feet, and we help you do it.
Welcome the prisoner home with respect and the help to get a new identity and a new life.

Crosstown is a nonprofit 501c (3) Christian organization serving the city of Las Cruces in Southern New Mexico.
