What We Do

Church Resources | Citywide Service

Our heart and soul is to help our community; to care for the fatherless and the family, give a hand up to the single parent, share life with the incarcerated, and show hospitality to the stranger in our community. This is the heart of Jesus in his people.

3Sometimes, churches have a lot of interest and energy to serve, but they don’t know where to start. In response to this, Crosstown pilots ministry programs and invites churches to join us, desiring for member churches to eventually take them over from us.

No more let sin and sorrows roam,

Nor thorns infest the ground,

He comes to make his blessings known,

Far as the curse is found…

Jesus has defeated both sin and death–hallelujah! He is now making all things new, both spiritual and physical. While he is away from earth, he has given this work over to The Church. Crosstown provides tools for churches to get to know themselves and their neighborhoods better, propelling each church into wisely designed, heartful service.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. – Hebrews 10:24-25

A healthy Church will be, among other things, a great servant to Her city. Therefore, Crosstown offers opportunities for individual pastoral counseling as well as group learning. We host The Gathering for Generous Justice each year where ministry leaders, churches, and volunteers engage the assets and concerns of Las Cruces and The Borderlands.

The mission is very simple.

Organize the 80-90 Christian and Catholic churches of Las Cruces into a force of love. We are a great under-utilized asset in this community. Together, we have the resources that could change many lives.
CrossTown Re-Entry, a transformational home for prisoners to return to, where they are welcomed with respect and helped through Christian programming to find a new way of living.
Afghan Refugee Resettlement, a new home and welcome into our city with help in the cultural distinctives of language, work, and living
Afterschool Reading and Bible Clubs, introducing students at the elementary level to the joys of reading great books that have influenced our culture.
Crosstown Athletics, seminars for coaching children and developing intramural sports.
Special Events, including Soles for Souls, Dress a Child, and Coats for Kids.

Crosstown is a nonprofit 501c (3) Christian organization serving the city of Las Cruces in Southern New Mexico.
